LM2 vs Huncote III (A)
Alright guys. So, unfortunately we lost. I think it was a night of shoulda, coulda woulda. I know that’s true for myself and Daan, as we had won the first game comfortably against their 3rd pair, and then lost the next two. We also repeated this process against their first pair. Then it was down to the last game against their 2nd pair, which we’d lost the first game, came back to win from being 19-14 down in the second, but then losing the final game disappointingly 22-20.
As for the other guys, Rich had an expensive night with a racket broken out of frustration, but him and Alex did well with 2 wins out of 3, and the two Sam’s gave it a good go getting 1 win, but things just didn’t work out. Technically this is our first loss under my captaincy of LM2 (I say technically as we’d lost a game 7-2 last season but they’d played with an unregistered player so we had won on paper), so it was a very disappointing night. All we can do now is play to our best ability for the rest of the season, and hope that our time and effort pays off. Well done guys.
