We lost to st. Philips 2 - 4 rubbers. Firstly, Welcome Jacob playing first league games with us. Went with pre- defined Pairing Ben & Jacob as strong pair, Daan & Kiranam as second. Venue changed and myself turned up late is a complete disaster.
Ben & Jacob started with their first pair comfortably, but a few service errors & unforced errors costed the two games losing the rubber. Playing the games in rush with no knock up, has costed the rubber with beatable second pair. I should only apologise, Daan for the sluggishness from my part. On some other day, the pair is definitely beatable. Trinity lost 2 - 0 must get all remaining for a win.
Ben & Jacob played excellently with their second pair beating them to below 16 in both the games. Well done folks!! But Daan & Kiranam continued to struggle with their first pair losing the rubber. 3 -1 down at this stage, need remaining two rubbers for a draw. Ben & Daan had no hiccups got the rubber, but the hard fought 19 - 21 games costed the rubber for Kiranam & Jacob.
Finally a 2 - 4 loss to Trinity.
It’s the first game of the season and we’re sure will beat them at home advantage with dim lights 😁🤣
