A monumental moment for Trinity Badminton Club. We finally collected our Division 3 shield and medals. We have always dreamed of getting promoting into Division 2. Congratulations Team. The LM1 finale match for Trinity's 21/22 season. Long slog all the way to Melton! They knew what was coming though as the season was already won by an undefeated Trinityđ. A true to form 9-0 for the return away leg. A change up to the team for this one, Ian was abroad and Alex was injured so both unfortunately couldn't see the season out. Both played exceptionally throughout. Regular sub Tom was drafted and a debut for LM1, Dann stepped up. Tom and Dann paired, taking all 3 rubbers, some games even to single digits. Well done both.
Phil made his return after starting the season and catching a knee injury and paired with Chris. After knocking some rust off another 3 rubbers ticked off. Both pairs just dropping 1 game which really should have been won. Dan and Shaz for the first time in LM1, seeing Shaz against his old club. No problem, all rubbers taken in 2. Met the opposition down the pub for post match laughs. Brill side to play against. Well done to all who played this season, Trinity history has been made. Promotion to Leicester division 2 secured for the next season. Cheers everyoneđŸđ„đ„ł

This is it⊠the final RB2 match against QDJC - the team who are neck and neck with RB2 in Division 2.
With Kiranam moving home and Sam being away the team had changed slightly, regulars Darren and Ben were present and stepping in for Kiraman and Sam were Shaz and Chris. The boys rocked up and their fears were confirmed when they saw QDJC playing with plastics. đ±
Chris and Shaz were our first pair and they took on their 1st pair who were certainly not your usual division 2 standard! They lost their first game but took the last two games. The last game was incredibly tense but the boys won it 24-22. đŹ Lots of mistakes were made due to plastics but hey hođ
Darren the wall Moore and Ben took on their 1st pair and did extremely well but ultimately lost in two games, lots of clears unfortunately kept going out âïž
Both our pairs beat their second pair comfortably in two games with no big issues. Shoutout to Shaz doing some outrageous trick shots!
The split was Ben and Chris and Shaz and Darren. Chris and Ben had their strongest player and whilst making a bit of a meal out of the games, they won in two games. Shaz and Darren won their games in two comfortably

Afterwards we had some friendly games with QDJC and had a great night.
