What's new?

First Post Xmas match for the team. The consensus was that they are the competition for Trinity to get a promotion. The pressure was on, would they drop down from their teams in div 2 to strengthen, would they mix up the order. Would/ should we mix up the team (lots of back and forth over this btw😂) it was left to the night to decide. They brought in 2 new players!

We went with the regular Ian and Shaz, Dan and Chris for the strength, Alex and I would pick at the bones of what remainedđŸ€Ł. Dan and Chris played a blinder, no problem for them both. Several big smashes coming the oppositions way, so severe there was no returns to be had leaving them stumped as to where to go. Shaz and Ian showed their strength, great team play (Ian has already blowed enough smoke up Shaz for his play, it defied physics!). A slight wild card wobble against their 3rds though for S and I in the first game, letting them get to 19! However soon remedied in the 2nd and stopped them at 9. Their first pair had indeed strengthend from the last match however their 2nds had softened marginally. Phil and Alex took their 3rds in 2 with Phils first outing since a knee sprain injury. Far closer than it should have been but still mopped up in 2. P and A felt that the 2nds were in our sights with a 2 point swing either way throughout, a stirling 10+ shot driving rally in the 2nd game by Phil seeing us level at 20/20 however a net shot and and error cost us a chance to take it to 3. Another great win for Trinity, the team played excellently. 2 more teams to see off and the promotion to division 2 is ours. We'll done LM1, great effort by all, the promotion champers is chilling in the fridge! đŸ»đŸ€đŸ’Ș🎆

First match of the new year and with some absences through injury and illness, Chris and Alex are called in. Chris partnered Khalid, with both of them having no problem adapting to plastics taking their first 2 games. Alex and Ben took a little longer to get used to the conditions losing both but taking the first match to three ends.

All even going into the split and less drama with both matches going in Trinity's favour with Chris partnering Alex and Khalid with Ben.

Match played in really good spirits throughout, and a result that shows the strength in depth the club now has at it's disposal đŸ’Ș
