Match Report 23rd October
RB2 vs Harris (H)
It was a 6 - 0 victory for us, only dropping one game all evening. Sam & Ruth playing as a mixed pair, didn’t have too much trouble in their games, with the opposition struggling against a pair playing front & back.
Kirinam & I made made more hard work of it playing levels, but we got through it! The split saw Kirinam & Ruth play 2 solid games, winning to 15 & 14. In the other split I stood still while Sam ran around me like a whirlwind & we won to 12 & 16. They were a really friendly team & I’m looking forward to the return match with a full girl squad! But, of course, thanks to the guys for stepping in for us

Match Report 16th October 2019
RM1 vs St Phillips 1 (H) Tough game against the Division champions from last year and with Azmath making his debut for trinity. Pairs to start were Alex/Darren and Neil/Azmath. Alex and Darren got off to a decent start against their first pair but lost the first game to 15 and struggled to 10 in the second. Neil and Azmath however were forming a strong new partnership taking their second pair in two. Alex and Darren had chances in the first game against their second pair but lost a close one to 18. The second game we lost to 8 which was slightly frustrating to one of the players which may have seen a racket hitting the deck, I'll leave you to decide who that was 😂. Meanwhile, Neil and Azmath were having a real ding dong match against their first pair losing in two close games but some great badminton all round. Going into the split we were 3-1 down needing to win both to take a draw. Alex and Neil lost the first game but won the second to 15. A few net cords and close rallies didn't go our way and we lost the 3rd to 17. Darren and Azmath had an equally close match pushing their pair all the way but unfortunately losing in two to 18 both times. All in all a 5-1 loss but a decent performance from the team against a tough opponent

RB2 vs St Phillips 5 (H)
First successful outing for the ladies team, except not quite managing to field 4 ladies 🤣 A 4-2 win, but 3 of the wins came from the mixed matches, so it will be interesting to see how we get on with just the girls! All in all I think we played well, a bit more practice together will sort out the “yours/mine?” issues we had!
