Match Report 15th February 2019 LM1 vs Loughborough Students (A)
Tonight could have been a stretch. Loughborough having the option of drawing down....and they did. Cap Phil ruthlessly nabbed Steve from Dazs team, sorry mateđ A pair we recognised and 2 fresh faces! On turning up the opposition had already been playing for 5 hrs...bloody students! Out the gate Chris and Phil took their 1st pair in 2 but the 2nd was a 23/21 and great rallies. Neil and Steve as 2nd pair put in a good performance however just loosing out to their 3rd pair which arguably they should have had. Neil was having some ankle trouble and asked for a hail mary, cap can I drop my rubberđł. Whats the score.... we've won at 5. Go for it then Neil take a break. Mart and Neil were still on court, and managed to secure the 6-3 win for Trinity. Not quite as good as Nathan's 9-0. Steve fell out with the youngsters and called one a cheat but we'll gloss over thatđ A solid result, well played guys, strong effort. Olympic next in Trinity's sightsâđ«

Match Report 15th February 2019
RM1 Vs St Philips II (A)
Hired into the RM1 squad for his 1st match for Trinity, Kwai was joined by newly promoted Alex into the RM1 squad. With a few last minute decisions, Darren resuscitated Sam and kindly asked him to step up at the 11th hour.
First up, Darren and Sam playing against there 1st and 2nd pair. After slowly getting used to the plastic shuttle, we eventually managed to scrape to a loss to 15 and a loss to 12. Next up, Kwai and Alex taking on the 3rd and 4th pair.. the boys brought home a comfortable first game win to 14. However, the second game proved more challenging... But the boys romped home with a tense 28-26 victory, saving at least 4 match points on the way! 1-1 after the first round.
Next up, Darren and Sam took on the 3rd and 4th pair . Sam was looking for a defibrillator after seeing the previous scoreline... but low and behold, Darren and Sam won both games comfortably to 12. (1-2 trinity)
Next up, Kwai and Alex taking on the 1st and 2nd pair... well, the plastic shuttle was obviously tampered with as they lost to 4 and 6.
2-2 going into the split đ±
Kwai and Sam taking taking the first split win against there 2nd and 4th player to 16 and 17!! (Get in boys!!)
2-3 trinity.. all eyes were on Darren Alex taking on the 1st and 3rd pair...
1st game up... after a tense battle, we lost to 18. 2nd match... we dusted ourselves down, played some great controlled points... romped home to win to to 10!
3rd and final game..
We continued to pile on the pressure, comfortably taking the 3rd game to 12 with some super controlled serving by Darren, and some outstanding smashes by Alex.
Well done all, 4-2 to trinity. The title shot is still on, even after substituting players due to match congestion. Well done, one dead chuffed captain. đđđ„
