Another fantastic 5 v 1 victory, this time at home against Avon. It was another hard fought match with 5 of the 6 going to 3 games. Phil put in an outstanding effort! I was starting to wonder whether he was going to make it through the night, but he kept going!
Sam & I managed the only loss of the night, but we made the mistakes rather than them defeating us. A special mention to the final point of the night, Phil dived to the floor to pick up the drop, I stood in the middle, returned 2 smashes while Phil got up & the 3rd smash went in the net... game over! Victory was ours!!!

RM1 vs Hunters 1 (A)
As it’s Christmas, Darren tactically swapped who was behind door No.4 of the advent calendar...merry Christmas hunters, they opened the door to Dan.
Darren and Dan played their 1st team first, wining first game to 12, loosing 2nd game to 18.. but then Darren turned on the style to pull Dan into the match... winning the decider to 8.
Next up, Chris and Mart.. took both rubbers comfortably to 2.
Split came up, Dan and Chris... went to 3, winning the decider to 17 (But Dan did give the opposition a chance by gifting them circa 8 points)
Next up, Mart and Darren.... we knew the win was in the bag... so decided we wanted to go to the pub, giving them a moral victory.
Very very good progress guys, considering trinity lost this same fixture 2 years ago 6-0. Even the captain congratulated us all, suggesting we have now “put the cat amongst the pidgeons” in this league. Well done boys, I now actually feel we can take hunters 1 at home... without dan. Boom! Merry Christmas!!
