Match Report 15th October 2018 LM1 vs Longslade (A)
Thanks to Mart and Steve for filling in. The team turned up and already there were whispers amongst us 'they're pretty good... didnt he play for England 100 years agođłđŽó §ó ąó „ó źó §ó ż!' However the sun was coming out in the form of their Cap saying only 1 pair had turned upđ€ although it was looking like Ian and Mart weren't going to get a game!
Then a rag tag 2nd pair just arrived so we could all play. Highest scoring pair award goes to Steve and Neil (justđ) 34, closely followed by Phil and Chris 39 and Ian and Mart 51, everyone had nice controlled rallies. A great 2nd outing for Trinity LM1 even if it was a slightly hollow victory with Longslade conceding 3 rubbers this early on in the season. 9-0 to Trinityđ„đđ»well done teamđ€

Match Report 10th October 2018 RB3 vs Avon (H)
Hot on the heels of 2 close interclub matches, RB3 entered the ring with Avon for our first real fight. Hopes and spirits were high. Pairing was Rob & Dave (because Dave likes to run and Rob doesn't) and Kiranam and Kesav (The smash brothers).
First pair up, close match taking their first pair to 3 games, but just not getting the final point to take home the rubber.
Second pair, 2 close games but another away win. Two rubbers down, but Rob and Dave confident we can take their second pair.... but in the end put in what can only be described as a dreadful performance, at one point being 0-10 down! Deflated, but not down we watch our second pair take them to 3 games, but again not managing to get the win. 0-4, and now playing for pride.
On the split, things didnât get much better, another 2-0 and a 2-1.... plus some spectacular sting breakage from Rob. Overall, a lot of close games, but just not able to take home the bacon. 0-6 (3-12) for RB3, but some positive play for all members.... Tonight we take on St. Philips at Home, so lets hope we can learn from our mistakes of last week and bring home some points.

Match Report 1st October 2018 LM1 vs Loughbrough (A)
After some last minute substitutions for Ian which caused some initial panic Darren stepped up to the plate and Martin was already coveringđŹ. We were already Rich down so going in with un practiced pairs! Darren advised he was bringing a can of koppaberg cider which seemed to give him some fire in his bellyđșđ„ and a racket smash between him and Zaf(expensive point).
Although this fire brought with it winning all their games in 2 so Darren has adopted a lucky rabbits foot strategy of drinking alcohol whilst playing. Chris and Phil took their 1st pair to 24 26 then a comfortable 2nd game. Chris had a sweet smash net return that was so graceful it was like watching him make love to a beautiful woman! Not that I've seen him making love, although I imagine that's what it would be likeđ€.
Neil and Mart had a steady run against their 1st and 2nd pair although the wheels came off against their 3rd dropping a rubberđ, they however put in a blinding effort taking all their other games without any real dramađ. 8-1 to Trinity, great start to the season guys. The shirts were great, I think that sealed the win. Special mention to Andreađ
